Rush hails from good ol' Cape Girardeau MO, though he spent time in KC, and then later started his broadcast career in Sacramento CA. I'm not sure but I'm going to say Sacramento is his "adopted" hometown.

I'm going to misspell this, but his hometown is Cape Girardeau, Missouri. His adopted hometown is Sacramento of course! For those of you in Rio Linda...

I'm pretty sure he was born near St Louis and started his career in Sacramento. That's the best I can offer for a guess.
