I have fourteen days counting tomorrow. Sadly, three of them will be spent writing curriculum. Eighth grade teachers will be able to offer Art I for high school credit next year. They thought they would just go along with their same curriculum and give the kids high school credit. I thought differently and spoke my mind. So guess who gets to write the structure and mission statements and convince the middle school teachers to step up their programs in terms of rigor? Lest ye think I am snide, we are talking sugar cube castle vs. throwing on the wheel here. If they want high school credit, then they have to teach high school stuff. I don't think that's unreasonable. As to when I will grade or write my tests, who knows?
