The video is 13:38 long, and I agree with the vast majority of it. The Center for Union Facts has done a great job here.

Hi! I am a teacher in San Diego who is very much a republican and just frustrated with being an agency payer. I recently got a letter from CTA reminding me that if I get a pink slip this year, I won't get any assistance from them and if I join they are willing to help me fight for my job. In my opinion, the letter was somewhat of a threat. I am thrilled to find your blog and more information about the AAE which I will be joining. I will also be resigning from the union in hopes to get some of my agency fees back. Thanks so much for posting this wonderful information!
ReplyDeleteThey may not go above and beyond for you, but given seniority rules, you'll still get "basic" protection from them because they'll fight to defend seniority as defined by your contract.
ReplyDeleteTheir pettiness, though, knows no bounds.
