I will make another prediction as well. Because of the cost of food and lower incomes, you will see a demise in boutique groceries and organic farming. Like it or not, conventional farming methods made abundant food available to the masses at a reasonable price. Who wants to buy one perfect tomato for four bucks a pop? It simply isn't feasible.
ReplyDeleteI'll see your prediction and raise you a disagreement: boutique edibles like heritage vegetables and livestock species will take a hit during the economic downturn but they'll come back with the economy. And since it's an ill wind that blows no good, it looks like the state of the economy has put T. Boone Pickes massive fleecing of the taxpayer, in the form of his giant, Texas windfarm, on hold for the foreseeable future.
