Nana Is Gone

My nana died this morning. It was entirely expected, but that doesn't make it too much easier to deal with. I spent some time alone sitting with her yesterday, and even though she was unconscious the whole time, just having done that brings some comfort now.

Blogging may be light for a couple days, who knows. I have to go to work now.

    My sympathies!

My uncle died two weeks ago - also expected. (He was in a great deal of pain, so it was a blessing to him. We, of course, miss him!) I'm glad you got to spend some time with her before she left... My one regret about my uncle is that my husband and I were unable to visit, because he lived on the other side of the country.

  9. Donalbain, is that some kind of socialist/communist comment? :-)

To all of you, thank you.

  12. Darren,
My sympathies. I'm still adjusting to my father's death. Believe me time will soften the blow. Many told me that and I believe it now. God bless you.

  13. You know what? Screw you.
If you can't take someone offering you best wishes with out making a snide political jab.. then screw you.

  15. Donalbain, I put the smiley face after that comment as a small symbol of human solidarity, a joke I thought you'd appreciate. I apologize that I came off as anything other than grateful for your comment.

You were included in the "to all of you, thank you" comment.

  18. She is in a better place now. Cherish your loving memories and relish the gifts she added to your life. I know how you feel.....I lost my grandma a few years ago....Its hard when you lose someone close to you for over 40 years..... It seems like a piece of your life is gone. But in reality, YOU are a part of her and YOU go on.

That really sucks :( I'm sorry to hear that, Mr. Miller. My grandpa doesn't have too many years left either, and I really really don't want that day to come.
