I guess there's a positive in this press release from the National Organization of Women. Apparently it's not enough to be a woman (Sarah Palin) to get their support; no, you have to hold the correct views.
Good job, NOW. You've finally learned that it isn't the plumbing that matters. Welcome to the latter half of the 20th Century. When you're ready to join the 21st Century, please let us know with another whiny press release.
Thanks for this. I was supporting McCain/Palin anyway, but this is just the icing on the cake for me! Nice of NOW to articulate that "women's rights" really just comes down to the right to abortion.
ReplyDeleteThe abortion question is rather moot really. I am 95% pro-life but don't see anything significant happening to change things soon. I hope, pray and teach my kids, however.
ReplyDeleteWildly hypocritical that NOW says in their press release "Palin is a mother of five who has a 4-month-old baby, a woman who is juggling work and family responsibilities," while on NOW's about page brags "In 1978 feminists win a ban on employment discrimination against pregnant women."
NOW asks "But will Palin speak FOR women?" Will NOW speak for women? Clearly only for left wing women who support NOW's positions on abortion, etc.
We've known NOW is a bunch of hypocrites. They just proved it once again.
I guess Palin isn't authentically female in the sense that Justice Thomas isn't authentically black, i.e. not a lefty.
