Fasting During Ramadan

I figure I'm staying focused on this blog if 60-70% of my most recent posts are related to education. If 2/3 of my posts are related to education, that's pretty good. In the last few days, though, I'm dropping precipitously below that threshold.

Like with this post. I was scanning the news sites and blogosphere, looking for something about education that I felt strongly enough to comment on, and this is what shows up on my computer screen:

Deliberate masturbation during the month of Ramadan renders a fast invalid, Iranian Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khameini has ruled.

    Solidarity is one thing, dhimmitude is another.

    I wonder how long it will be before someone gets the bright idea to hold barbecues on college campuses all across the country, as a "counter-dhimmitude".
