Lefties Won't Like This

Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has informed Karl Rove that Rove will not face indictment in the CIA leak investigation, National Review Online has learned. Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, released the following statement moments ago:

On June 12, 2006, Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald formally advised us that he does not anticipate seeking charges against Karl Rove.

I anticipate a chorus of leftie (DQTP) subject-changing, "yes, but" statements, and general hand-wringing. As the Instapundit said:

And there's this: "Rove Cleared, Zarqawi Dead, Bush doomed." Well, I predict he won't be reelected in 2008, anyway. But he's in Baghdad at the moment.
I'd laugh at the lefties (DQTP) if they weren't such a threat to the republic.

You failed to note that this is the first time that the President has been to Iraq since November of 2003.

It's really sad when Republicans can celebrate a member of the President's staff NOT being indicted.

  2. Let's see. I predicted subject-changing. "Hasn't been to Iraq in two years." Check.

Hand-wringing. "So he wasn't indicted. Big win." Check.

At least you avoided saying "but".

We on the right aren't celebrating that Rove wasn't indicted--we never believed he would be. We're celebrating because you lefties (DQTP) are so pissed that he wasn't!

And I'm mocking you for it =)

I have to ask, anonymous--since you'd feel so much more comfortable over at the Daily Kos, why aren't you commenting there instead of just being a troll here? It's not that I don't like your witty repartee, or lack thereof, but don't you get tired of playing the fool so often?

I have never learned anything from someone agreeing with me.

    Have you?

  4. Are you implying that you come here to grow intellectually?

Because based on the way you present yourself, *I* think you're just here to troll.

  5. Rove is such a disaster for Bush that none of this matters, indicted or not. His performance has been so poor that it has put the president at great risk politically.

His power is all but gone now. He has been demoted recently.

At least he won't be doing jail time. Oh crap. That is GOOD news for Libs! We want Rove around screwing Bush into the ground. Hey, give him his old job back!

  6. See? You lefties (DQTP) hate the man so much, you can't even see through your hatred. You hate Rove, you hate Bush, you hate Cheney--and that's the problem. You people feeeeeeeel, not think.

  7. It's not true Darren, I have come to appreciate Rove's abilities. I really am happy that he'll be back full-force and running the Republican 06 elections. It gives me great joy!

I can't wait to see the results. :)

  8. You make my point for me, 40. You lefties (DQTP) aren't patriotic at all.

If you were, you'd want your country (and its government) to succeed.

If you think Rove is a good guy, you'd actually pray that he stays on and gives the President good advice. If you don't think he's good, you'd want him out of there immediately so that the President could get the best advice possible.

Instead, you want your President to continue to get bad advice about running the country for you own political reasons. At this point, I question your patriotism.

  9. Why would I root for this government to do well in the midterm elections (which was my topic, not Iraq or the countries good will in general).

But I totally agree with you that Rove will give the President bad advice as you say.

My sister-in-law left for Afghanistan today. Believe me when I say to you, I want this country to finish the job and to win in these wars. But, the price has been VERY high in lives and $. When is enough, enough?

I'm afraid for you the voters may make up their mind that it is enough come November.
