Couldn't Happen To A Nicer Guy

From Instapundit (see blogroll at left) we learn that Michael Moore is being sued by an Iraq War veteran.

A double-amputee Iraq-war vet is suing Michael Moore for $85 million, claiming the portly peacenik recycled an old interview and used it out of context to make him appear anti-war in "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Sgt. Peter Damon, 33, who strongly supports America's invasion of Iraq, said he never agreed to be in the 2004 movie, which trashes President Bush.

I hope the guy gets a huge award. I'm not usually into humongous awards, but Moore's big enough to handle it. Huge? Humongous? Big enough? Get it? Sometimes I slay myself.

This is nothing new. This is hitting the right wing media now, because Michael Moore has refused to settle for over a year, a sign that the plaintiff has no case.

Mr. Damon was in the anti-Michael Moore flick Fahrenhype 9/11. Ironically, his prosthetic arms flailing during an Anti-Moore diatribe was a far more powerful anti-war statement than anything Michael Moore ever produced. His emotional outburst in the anti-Moore flick made him seem like a total psycho.

Damon was also in the cheeky Michael Moore Hates America.

Michael Moore has been sued several times. No one has yet to get a dime from him.

I just started grad. school and the course is entitled Cultural Democracy. The required text was written by a Marxist. The first assignment involves watching a Michael Moore movie and writing a paper on it. I hate Michael Moore. I don't think the instructor will like the slant of my paper.

Interesting, isn't it, that someone is more than willing to trash an injured veteran -- but lacks the courage to sign his/her name to it.

And refusing to settle is not always the sign of a weak case -- it is sometimes the sign of suppreme arrogance.

If you think that Michael Moore has never lost a lawsuit, just Google the name of Larry Stecco.

Don't care if he has never lost a lawsuit, he's a bold faced liar and needs to be held to account. The fact he’s not settled out of court has no bearing on the validity of the case as much as he has the resources to handle a drawn out legal challenge. The man is worth millions.

I would like to see one reporter ask this "man of the people" who likes to complain about "rich white men" some simple questions

    "Mr. Moore, aren’t you a multi-millionaire yourself?"

"Mr. Moore, don't you own two multi-million dollar homes?"

"Mr. Moore, didn't you send your daughter to an exclusive private school while President Bush sent his daughters to public school through 12th grade?"

“Mr. Moore, aren’t you famous for checking into a cheap motel when you get to New York or Washington DC, you hold a press conference at the location and then check into a five star hotel later that day?”

I am not going to hold my breath

Too bad Sgt. Damon's lawsuit is total BS and will get tossed out of Court.

  8. Somehow, I can't accept that Daily Kos is an unbiased, scholarly, or even reasonable source of information in this case.

I *love* the way they deleted the Memorial Day post that crapped on our military members--and then tried to pretend it never existed.

Damon said: "Somehow, I can't accept that Daily Kos is an unbiased, scholarly, or even reasonable source of information in this case."

That's your problem. The diary I wrote on Kos is well-sourced and accurate.

Go read it and be embarrassed.

  10. My "problem"? I don't think so. Perhaps you didn't read my post entitled Critical Thinking and an Open Mind at
