Seldom do I see this--a blogger publishes a post, and the large majority of the comments excoriate the author! Often blogs are communal backslapping sessions; someone visits a blog because they like the blogger's slant, wit, or excessively good looks (that's why people come here, I'm sure), so many comments are of the "I agree" and "Me, too" variety.
Not so in this post.
