American Political Families--Kennedy and Bush

An interesting read. Not intellectually rigorous, but a good conversation starter for the cocktail party circuit.

I do grow tired of the use of the word "dynasty" in American politics, though. The Kennedys have only had two generations of serious input into American national politics, the same as the Bushes. If you count Prescott Bush I guess the Bushes could claim three generations, but whatever. To me, that isn't a dynasty.

If the Washingtons were still influential? That would be a dynasty.
