CNN has a story about teacher pay. According to a study by the National Education Association, teacher pay, when adjusted for inflation, has increased 11% nationally in the last 20 years. Fifteen states have seen a real decline in pay when inflation is factored in, and current pay increases are not keeping up with inflation.
My local union voted to accept a pay freeze this next year.
