The Chinese government does, and looked for a way to make the Chinese think they were getting valid information off the internet. Despite all the stereotypes, the Chinese government does NOT have the technical savvy, and the technical-savvy Chinese working for the government really remain loyal to the rest of their country. Consequently, the Chinese people have figured out many ways of getting around the filters, and Google has even provided a service filter-free, the Newsgroups. And for the rest of the Chinese who do not have a technical savvy, Google's hope for them is, "A censored internet is better than no internet." If they really supported brainwashing the Chinese, no one would use Google.

And about the newsgroups, try this link if you don't believe me. There should be return string there about uncensored news. It says a majority is filtered for easy viewing, but that feature can be turned off.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10348701.post-1162339726321389242006-10-31T16:08:00.000-08:002006-10-31T16:08:00.000-08:00Google is nice, but when it comes down to it, they...Google is nice, but when it comes down to it, they're a corporate company.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
