Ayers to Alan Colmes: Obama Making 'Colossal Mistake' sending additional troops to Afghanistan
Mon Feb 23 2009 14:00:00 ET
In an exclusive interview airing tonight on Hannity at 9:00pm ET on FOX News Channel, Bill Ayers spoke with Alan Colmes on a wide range of issues including his past with the Weather Underground and President Obama...
On setting bombs as part of the Weather Underground:
"I don't regret anything I did it to oppose the war. It was -- I did it to oppose the war. I don't regret it."
"I don't look back on those things and regret them, but I'm willing to rethink them. And there are many things which I'm going to rethink."
One man's domestic terrorist is another man's mentor and potential Presidential Cabinet Secretary.

Did I miss something? Was there some story about how Bill Ayers was even a candidate for Secretary of Education?
Many, including most libs, feel that people are basically good, and that evil comes from outside of them-- from society, from guns, from poverty, you name it-- so is it surprising if Obama feels that Ayers is, deep down, a good fellow?
And just for the record, I do believe that a person who "feels" when they ought to be thinking or believing is 1) foolish and 2) contributing to the decline of proper English usage.
Oh, come on - seriously? Was he ever in consideration?
All the pundits thought he was, as an old friend and mentor of Obama in an education program, and as an education professor.
Ayers obviously has some influence in the public ed community having steered Obama into the running of the humongous Pew grant to the Chicago schools that gave Obama a big boost in his political career.
A little quid pro quo isn't all that unheard of although Ayers' past association became enough of a liability that Obama, whose shown a clear preference for discarding troublesome association over standing by them, probably decided an unrepentant terrorist might not be all that good an addition to his cabinet.
I wonder whether, with the recent passage of Darwin's birthday it might not be worthwhile to discuss the possibility of the evolution of a new form of home sapien - homo politicus.
Physically indistinguishable from homo sapien but devoid of the ability to form human attachments and entirely oriented towards the acquisition of political power.
Scientists today discovered one of the many amazing adaptations found in homo politicus: the ability to project speach from their own rectums.
