Victims of Communism Day

Lest we forget, I've written and linked to a couple posts on this day of remembrance:

"Victims of Communism" Day

Some May Call It May Day...

And here's a generic post about communism, in case people wonder why I feel the way I do.  Heinlein's quote at the end is one for the ages.

People always tell me that you can have communism and still have such things as private schools, private news networks, the exclusionary rule, the miranda warning, the brady rule, the right to keep and bear arms, bans on affirmative action, etc.

But communist countries never have these things. Is that really just a coincidence? Or do all individual rights--whether "social" or economic--go together, such that you only end up with social rights when you already have economic rights?

Eight-hour work days and five-day work weeks. Oh, the horrors that unions have inflicted upon our society! When will Trump and True Republicans rise up and strike these communist atrocities down?
