The tour companies are buying them in bulk. Go in person to see if there are tickets available on site that day.
My first thought: that's ridiculous. When I went, we walked up day of. My second: There are always tickets. Hang out and scalp them. If you have to go to Oahu, it needs to be seen.
Guess you'll just have to extend the vacation. :)
I found a tour company that will pick me up at my hotel. This way I'm assured of getting onto the memorial. Solved.Still a silly way to do things, though.
