What Is This "Global Warming" Of Which You Speak?

News like this doesn't surprise me anymore, you can bet it won't be mentioned on any of the Big 3 networks tonight:
There has been a 60 per cent increase in the amount of ocean covered with ice compared to this time last year, they (sic) equivalent of almost a million square miles.

In a rebound from 2012's record low an unbroken ice sheet more than half the size of Europe already stretches from the Canadian islands to Russia's northern shores, days before the annual re-freeze is even set to begin.

The Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year, forcing some ships to change their routes.

A leaked report to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) seen by the Mail on Sunday, has led some scientists to claim that the world is heading for a period of cooling that will not end until the middle of this century.

If correct, it would contradict computer forecasts of imminent catastrophic warming. The news comes several years after the BBC predicted that the arctic would be ice-free by 2013.

They changed the rhetoric from "warming" to "change" when the FACTS didn't support warming anymore.

I'm surprised that there isn't a group yet trying to fight incidents of "General: "SH!T HAPPENS"

Why am I not surprised by this? Anything Al Gore supports is bound to be wrong.

That hissing sound you hear is the whole issue of anthropogenic global warming going flat. Trouble is, plenty of mischief has been accomplished up to this point and the proponents of anthropogenic global warming, now that they're losing hope of tuning the world, or even the U.S., into a greenie-weenie playground are going to try to hang onto every one of their political successes.

The fight's far from over and in some ways it's going to be tougher.

The whole farm lobby's in favor of the ethanol mandate even though it's been demonstrated that it's both economically and environmentally damaging. They'll hang onto the mandate even if more money has to be spent to store ethanol that nobody wants.

Then there's the EPA which has gone a fair way to being a law onto itself. The agency has to be reigned in and that won't be easy.

It is pleasant to see all the predictions of the greenie-weenies come up false but when nature doesn't cooperate the greenie-weenies will ignore nature. The intent of the environmental lobby is to make society as environmentally, and thus morally, refined as the environmental lobby believes itself to be and they're far from satisfied at our progress towards their goal.

At first (1970's) it was global cooling. The only cure? Destroy technological society.

Then it was global warming. The only cure? Destroy technological society.

Well, the climate is always changing, going up and down. So we must fight climate change (not a directional trend like warming or cooling). The only cure? Destroy technological society.

But 'change' isn't a scary enough word. How about... climate CHAOS! Yes! Climate chaos will kill us all! What's the only cure? Destroy technological society.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
