Asteroids--Caused By Global Warming

The CNN anchor said it, not me.
“Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?”
Watch video at the link, decide for yourself.

My take was that the person creating the teleprompter-cards from which she was reading thought that this was a funny transition. Nothing more.

But I did find it odd that the teleprompter-cards still called it "global warming" instead of "climate change". Note that the ticker *below* her gets it correct: "STORMS RAISE CLIMATE CHANGE QUESTIONS". And her *second* sentence refers to climate change, not global warming. And ... obviously ... referring to a blizzard as an outcome of global "warming" sounds stupid (thus the change of the term). It looks like we still have a few years to go before everyone has internalized that "global warming" is *OUT* and "climate change" is *IN*.

Oh, you've got to cut the news chickie some slack.

Journalists are the opposite of experts who know more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing. Journalists know less and less about more and more until they know nothing about everything.
