May He Rot In Hell

Usama bin Laden is dead, multiple sources confirm to Fox News.

President Obama is expected to deliver a statement from the White House Sunday night to discuss the major development.

Update: This is probably the first speech that this president's given that I, for the most part, liked. When I can find a transcript of it, I'll post my favorite line.

Update #2, 5/2/11: Transcript is here. My favorite line: "[H]is demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity."

And may his 72 virgins all look like Helen Thomas and Mrs Bill Clinton.

Or Mr. Bill Clinton, for that matter.

When reached for comment, Satan confirmed Osama was in Hell, but said he wasn't happy about it. Osama was giving Hell a bad name.

They're saying there's a possibility that the information came from Gitmo.

Do you think it was worth keeping Gitmo open (hypothetically assuming it's true), even after Obama said he'd close it down?

I was never for closing it in the first place.

oh, seemed like you were with all the "why hasn't obama shut down gitmo" posts

I wonder if Eric Holder is disappointed that he can't now hold a trial in NYC for Bin Laden.

My point with those posts, Scott, was how Candidate Obama swore that the worst thing on the planet is Gitmo, how he's going to close it down and then everyone will love us, and how he was 100% unsuccessful at the very first act he signed signed (which was an order to close the place). Those posts were attacks on the president's intelligence and credibility, not attacks on the existence of the Guantanamo Bay prison.

We were greeted with an email reminding us to consider the various groups within our school. So imagine my shock when a wise guy kid said "hey Mrs. K, did you here they killed my uncle last night?" I sort of back away, saying that it was something that was probably inevitable. And he chuckled back "oh don't worry Mrs. K, he was a Baaaaad guy. He killed lots more Muslims than he killed Americans." And this was from a Pakistani-American Muslim student. I am glad he's gone. But that doesn't mean it's over.
