Climate Change?

Maybe, but according to these scientists, it's not caused by man's contribution of CO2 in the atmosphere:

More than 60 prominent German scientists have publicly declared their dissent from man-made global warming fears in an Open Letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The more than 60 signers of the letter include several United Nations IPCC scientists.

The scientists declared that global warming has become a “pseudo religion” and they noted that rising CO2 has “had no measurable effect” on temperatures. The German scientists, also wrote that the “UN IPCC has lost its scientific credibility.”

Ahhh.. vibration engineers. Just the sort of people I would look to for information on climate science. Just like with the "Dissent from Darwinism" letters and petitions, this is a claim of authority based on numbers when the numbers are numbers of irrelevant people!

And a former vice president is someone I should listen to on the subject?

Gore latched onto this as an ego boost. He's made millions off of the gig. I wish that he hadn't managed to capture such a celebrity laden cast of supporters because most of them barely got out of high school but for some reason too many Americans think they have higher authority...go figure.

How about a lepidopterist? If you study butterflies then you can't help but be knowledgeable about economics and population dynamics.

That'd be Paul Ehrlich who predicted the vast, mid-80's famine that didn't kill hundreds of millions of people.

Dr. Ehrlich's getting a bit long in the tooth and his track record is uniformly bad but he still gets an audience when he predicts the next disaster.
