Ok, I checked after the guess and it was 1666. Duh, I wrote a paper in high school about St. Paul's and Christopher Wren - I knew it was post-Elizabeth! I dumb.

It was 1666! One of the three most important dates British schoolchildren remember:

1066: Battle of Hastings
1666: Great London Fire
1966: England wins the Cup

And then there's that Magna Carta thingy too. 1215. Not as easy to remember.
