President Barack Obama says he has lost confidence in the inspector general who investigates AmeriCorps and other national service programs and has told Congress he is removing him from the position.
Lot of people under that bus.
Obama's move follows an investigation by IG Gerald Walpin finding misuse of federal grants by a nonprofit education group led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who is an Obama supporter and former NBA basketball star.
Heckuva job, Walpie! I guess if you fire only one guy at a time, it's not a problem--like firing US attorneys or something.

While I am appalled, I am not surprised. The Democrats have been angling for political retribution for awhile now. That's part of what the Moveon.org crowd supports. Frankly, I don't think they will be happy until there is blood in the streets over issues. As for firing someone who actually had the guts to out an organization that was on the take, in this administration every law will now be applied based on who you are or what subgroup you fit into. I am just waiting for the patches to sew on my clothes to tell my political affiliation.
