Permission To Spend Union Dues Money On Politics

One of the initiatives that will be in front of California voters in this fall's special election is one that would require public employee unions to get annual permission from members before spending any portion of a member's dues on political contributions. I wholeheartedly support this law.

Today's major Sacramento newspaper has an article about other states that have passed so-called "paycheck protection" laws. Apparently, Utah is the only state in which the law hasn't been bypassed.
